On the afternoon of March 25, 2019, under the witness of Chinese President Xi Jinping and French President Macron, SUS Environment signed the "Renewable Energy Development Platform Co-construction Cooperation Agreement" with China Investment Corporation, Bpifrance, French National Investment Bank, and Qair at the Elysee Palace, Paris. Four parties, who are Dr. Long Jisheng, Chairman and CEO of SUS Environment, Mr. Tu Guangshao, Vice Chairman and General Manager of China Investment Corporation, Mr. Nicolas Dufourcq, CEO of Bpifrance, and Mr. Louis Blanchard, CEO of Qair shareholder Lucia holding Group, signed the agreement.
In his speech after signing, President Xi Jinping pointed out that the common willingness to produce common action, China and France jointly decided to promote the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and third-party market cooperation, and a list of PPP demonstration projects has been established. He emphasized that, “During this visit, a memorandum of understanding on the Sino-French third-party market cooperation fund to support the international platform for renewable energy was also signed.”
This platform will be committed to the development and operation of waste-to-energy and other new energy projects in the world, especially in the third-party markets out of China and France. Currently, it has jointly locked up nearly 2 billion euros in investment projects.
