From May 30 to 31, the 10th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Summit Forum was solemnly held in Macao. Dr. Long Jisheng, chairman and CEO of SUS, was invited to participate in the "High-end Dialogue" of the forum to discuss the topic of "Energy Transformation and International Cooperation in New Energy" with other guests.

In his speech, Dr. Long pointed out that waste-to-energy belongs to the new energy market segment, which is still in its infancy in the vast number of developing countries and has broad prospects. With the improvement of people's living standards (including the development of e-commerce), the per capita waste generation in developing countries continues to rise, despite the total scale of waste-to-energy being limited. In the past 30 years, China's waste-to-energy industry has made great progress. The industry has entered a mature period, and developed waste-to-energy technology suitable for the vast number of developing countries and regions with a per capita GDP of about 2000 US dollars.

China's mature PPP mode also provides institutional experience for developing countries to promote the waste-to-energy industry. Recently, in order to solve the problems existing in the early planning, policy support, upstream collection and transportation of developing countries, SUS has cooperated with the United Nations Environment Agency on promoting the PPP mode of China's waste-to-energy industry.

At the same time, SUS has signed a four-party agreement with Qair, CIC and BPI to jointly develop the third-party market except for China and France, focusing on various new energy projects including wind power, photovoltaic, waste-to-energy, etc. SUS is willing to work with leading domestic enterprises in the field of new energy to go abroad for mutual benefit and make full use of the resources and experience of multilateral institutions and overseas partners.

During the forum, Long Jisheng also had in-depth communication with many important Chinese and foreign guests.

In recent years, the international community has paid more and more attention to energy security, ecological environment protection, climate change and other issues. Accelerating the development and utilization of new energy has become a common consensus and concerted action of governments all over the world. In this context, the new energy industry should vigorously carry out international cooperation in energy transformation, institutional mechanisms, business models, technological innovation and other aspects to promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the global new energy industry. The 10th international infrastructure investment and Construction Summit Forum is guided by the Ministry of Commerce of the people's Republic of China, the government of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region. It is also co-sponsored by the China Chamber of foreign contractors and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Bureau. Since its establishment in 2010, the forum has attracted more than 2000 elites from more than 70 countries and regions, including senior government officials, well-known experts, project owners, financial institutions, investors, contractors, designers, consulting agencies, industry associations, etc., including more than 50 ministerial guests. It has gradually established a high-end, professional, authoritative and effective brand image, and become one of the most influential annual industry events in the field of global infrastructure cooperation.
